| My Own New Biz provides a structured curriculum, developed by a Master Degree Teacher, during day camps and after-school programs. We tap into children’s creativity and determination to teach financial literacy under the pillars of Earning, Saving, and Sharing.
Earning Teaches:
- Work standards and habits
- A sense of accomplishment and follow through
- Relationship of money, time, skills, and energy
- Confidence in themselves and their abilities
- Sense of financial independence
Saving Teaches:
- The concept of “pay yourself first” strategy
- Planning, setting goals and a sense of accomplishment when the goal is reached
- Identifying wants vs. needs
- The different purposes of planned and regular saving
- Strong saving habits
Sharing Teaches:
- A sense of caring for others and their welfare
- Empowerment for a child to realize they can actually help others – no matter their age or circumstances
- How (the process ) to help others
- The feeling of joy when you give to others
