My Own New Biz staff will teach financial literacy day camps for the children of your company’s employees, your church’s congregational youth, children from your public school, charter school, pre-school, daycare or other organization.

We can customize the curriculum and camp education materials specifically to your needs or you can choose from the wide variety of camps we already have available: Baking Cookies, Babysitting, My Own New Biz Magazine, Doll Making, Event Planning/Fund Raising, Photography, Wood Décor and Stationary/Cards. We will tailor your camp to the timeframe you need whether it is a full, five day 9am-3pm camp, a one day camp or an after school program 3pm-6pm.

During the camps, students learn the fundamentals of starting their own business. Specifically, the children:

• Select and create products
• Calculate the cost, determine the price, and calculate the profit of the products using a spreadsheet
• Learn how to market and sell their products at the end of the week
• Begin a personal savings plan to invest their profits
• Contribute a portion of their earnings to a charity of their choice

Camp curriculums are tailored to the ages of the campers, with one set of courses for ages 8-12 and another for ages 13-15.
